"When our daughter was 10 years old, she came to us and told us she wanted to take piano lessons. We had concerns about this sudden interest and questioned whether she would stick with it. You see, she had a learning disability and quickly got frustrated with anything new or difficult. But, we decided to give it a try. So, I started asking around and inquiring about local piano teachers. Almost everyone I spoke with said Amy would be a perfect fit for our daughter, and they were right! Our daughter had a hard time understanding sheet music, so Amy would hand write and modify the music in a way that was easy for our daughter to learn and comprehend. She loved her weekly visits with Amy and couldn’t wait to go home and practice her newest lesson. Amy is a patient and encouraging teacher that takes a special interest in each and every student. Regardless of the miles between them and the 12 years that have passed, the exceptional bond they formed is still as strong as ever."

"Whenever I started taking lessons from Amy, I knew the basics of reading sheet music and using my voice. Amy quickly introduced me to chords, helping me further my songwriting. She also challenged me to improve my sight reading as well as playing by ear. I enjoyed learning music theory with Amy because she was always patient and encouraging. One thing I always cherished was how safe and loved I felt. Lessons became something that couldn’t get here fast enough every week. "We have had the privilege of having Amy Cooley work closely with my two oldest daughters. In the beginning, our girls were mad at us and crying for having them start voice and piano lessons. Within the first month, they counted down the hours until their next lesson because they were so excited and learning so much. Amy is very talented at what she does and this is shown through her teaching and encouragement. From a parent's point of view, it was very exciting to see our girls thrive as Amy had them involved in recitals and show choir. Amy successfully started one of the first homeschool show choirs and led the girls to winning the award called “People's Choice Award” at the Belmont National Show Choir Competition the first year they ever competed. "I have known Amy Cooley, who I also call mom, for a long time. Since I have known her, I've watched her encourage kids and adults, alike, to play piano and sing.
